Founded in Kochi in 2017, Elkanio Research Labs builds the technology travel businesses run on: booking platforms, a unified supplier API, mid-office finance, CRM, analytics and loyalty, engineered as one platform rather than a patchwork of tools.
The supply side of travel was broken. We built the layer that fixes it.
Decades of XML feeds, proprietary GDS logic and unstandardised hotel schemas mean travel companies spend most of their engineering budget keeping connections alive. Front ends were never the hard part.
We started Elkanio to be the universal translator and routing layer underneath that mess, then built the products a travel business needs on top of it: distribution, operations, finance and customer intelligence, sharing one data model.

Amjad Naushad
Founder & Chief Executive OfficerTravel technologist and hands-on developer with 16 years in technology. An AI engineer since 2015, Amjad led data analytics and cognitive solutions at a US data analytics company before founding Elkanio in 2017 and building it into a travel technology company. He architected the Elkanio platform and led the development of Synapse, its unified travel API, and still works directly on the supplier connectivity and agentic runtime that all twelve products run on.

Chief Technology OfficerA highly skilled systems architect and hands-on developer. Beginning his career driving high-stakes production development for a US-based technology company, he built robust, high-performance solutions before transitioning to Elkanio to spearhead major technical initiatives. He led the development of key travel and lifestyle products, including Creyoface, Stamp The Passport and TripXOXO. Drawing on his deep technical expertise, he then designed and established the core architecture of the Elkanio system, overseeing complex travel API integrations to power the platform's global ecosystem. 11+ years in technology.
